Six of the Best Inventions of 2012

Take A look At Some Of The Most Amazing Inventions Of 2012-

Self-inflating tires. We couldn’t help but cheer when these were created — it’s about time, right? These Goodyear tires are self-inflated by an internal pressure regulator that automatically activates when the tire pressure is low. The regulator lets air flow into a pumping tube. As the wheel spins, the flattened part of the tire squeezes air from the tube into the tire by way of an inlet valve. When the air pressure returns to optimal level, the regulator closes — and the driver never knows it happened!
Tesla Model S. In the world of electric vehicles, the Tesla Model S is leading the pack. Described by Time magazine as a four-door sedan that “has the lines of a Jaguar,” this sleek model comes complete with touchscreen controls that handle everything from the built-in GPS to the car’s suspension. One charge gives it enough power to drive for 265 miles. Who’s up for a road trip?

The Curiosity Rover. The Mars landing was arguably one of the most talked about events of the year, and the Curiosity Rover played a huge part in the story. The one-ton Mars car is roughly the size of an SUV and comes equipped with a host of scientific equipment, enabling a wide range of data collection as the rover explores Mars for the next two years.

Indoor clouds. Dutch artist Berndnaut Smilde developed a way to create indoor clouds — pretty amazing, right? The impressive feat requires the perfect balance of temperature, humidity and lighting. Once the room is ready, Smilde uses a fog machine to summon the cloud, which lasts for a few minutes before dissipating.

Google Glass. These days, a tech or invention list isn’t complete without Google. The company made big news earlier this year when they unveiled Google Glass, a computer that’s built into the frame of a pair of glasses. The device purports to make augmented reality a part of our daily lives. The glasses aren’t cheap ($1,500), but the price tag just might be worth it for a look (no pun intended) into the future.

The Deepsea Challenger Submarine. Designed by filmmaker James Cameron, this impressive piece of machinery can withstand 1,000 atmospheres of pressure — think of it as three SUVs sitting on your toe (ouch!). The 24-foot-long Deepsea Challenger reached the oceans’ deepest point (7 miles below the surface) in March and comes equipped with digital 3-D cameras to document its surroundings.

How to Transfer Files Via WiFi From PC to Android (Wireless)

In today’s lesson, we will show you how to easily transfer files between Android and your computer. Best of all, we’ll show you how to transfer the files via WiFi without the hassle of having to look for a USB cable or removing the SD card from your Droid. You can follow along on the lesson via the Video tutorial or scroll down to the bottom for the Step-by-Step instructions.

There’s a lot of different ways to get files to/from your Android device to your computer. But I’ve been searching for the easiest method possible, so that I could teach users of all levels how to do it in a matter of minutes. Luckily, I was able to find a great app that makes transferring files between Android and your computer extremely simple. The app is WebSharingLite [Market Link] and it allows you to connect your Android device and computer together via the WiFi network in your home and/or office. There is no set up needed, just run the WebSharingLite app and it tells you exactly what to enter into any web browser’s URL bar to get there. You’ll then be able to upload/download whatever files you need. File sharing on Android has never been simpler than this! Take a look at the video tutorial below and let us know if you have any questions!

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Go to the Android Market
  2. Search for “WebSharingLite” app
  3. Install the “WebSharingLite” app by NextApp, Inc.
  4. Launch the App and click on the Start button at the bottom left
  5. WebSharing will then be activated and you can go to your PC and type in the URL displayed on the screen into your web browser. If prompted, enter the password listed on the screen.
  6. That’s it! Start transferring the files you need!

WebSharingLite not working properly for your device? Try this other great app that is very similar: Wifi File Explorer [Market Link]

12 Things You Didn't Know Your Smartphone Could Do

In today's digital age, we're all used to carrying around one device that has multiple functions and features. Smartphones, with their host of built-in features and available apps, offer you the ability to do pretty much anything you can dream up. In fact, it's probably easier to list what a mobile phone can't do than what it can! But that wouldn't make for as interesting or educational reading, so here are some of my favorite surprising uses for your smartphone:

1. PC/Mac Webcam You can use your phone in conjunction with messaging applications (Skype, Google+, Yahoo, Windows Live Messenger, AIM, etc.) and Wi-Fi for video chatting. Applications to download: Mobiola WebCamera by Shape (free) is available for the iPad and iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Mobile or Symbian smartphones.

2. Scanner Whether you want to scan a receipt for tax purposes, a business card for work, a barcode for a price check, or a check to be deposited, there are a host of scanning apps that will let you get rid of your bulky faxing/scanning combo from the late '90s. It's best to figure out what you'll be scanning and then and download a function-specific app. If you don't want to download an app, you can snap a photo and store it on your phone or computer to use later (for example, take a snapshot of a recipe card). Applications to download: TurboScan ($1.99) lets you scan and send multi-page documents and WorldCard Mobile or CardScan (both $6.99) let you scan and sync business cards

A Cordless Future For Electricity?

Electronics such as phones and laptops may start shedding their power cords within a year.
That's the prediction of Eric Giler, CEO of WiTricity, a company that's able to power light bulbs using wireless electricity that travels several feet from a power socket.
WiTricity's version of wireless electricity -- which converts power into a magnetic field and sends it sailing through the air at a particular frequency -- still needs to be refined a bit, he said, but should be commercially available soon.
Eric Giler

Giler, whose company is a spinoff of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology research group, says wireless electricity has the potential to cut the need for power cords and throw-away batteries.
"Five years from now, this will seem completely normal," he said.
"The biggest effect of wireless power is attacking that huge energy wasting that goes on where people buy disposable batteries," he said. Watch Giler demonstrate the idea
It also will make electric cars more attractive to consumers, he said, because they will be able to power up their vehicles simply by driving into a garage that's fitted with a wireless power mat.
Electric cars are "absolutely gorgeous," he added, "but does anyone really want to plug them in?"
Ideas about wireless electricity have been floating around the world of technology for more than a century. Nikola Tesla started toying with the ability to send electricity through the air in the 1890s. Since then, though, making wireless electricity technology safe and cheap enough to put on the market has been an arduous task for researchers.
Engineers have developed several ways to convert electricity into something that's safe to send through the air without a wire. Some of their technologies are available on commercial scales, but they have some limits.

Top 10 Gadgets You Should Have In Your Go Bag

We share a lot of cool gadgets around here, but there are a few tech essentials we think should be in every geek's laptop bag. Here are the 10 coolest (and most useful) gadgets you should always have with you. Photo remixed from an original by Kagaya.

10. Cable Shorteners

Top 10 Gadgets You Should Have In Your Go BagOne of the biggest annoyances the traveling geek encounters is a tornado of tangled cables in her backpack. If you need to neatly organize your cables, grab some cable shorteners like the stylish, cheap Applecores. MacBook users will also love the Quirky PowerCurl wrapper for their AC adapter (though make sure you're wrapping that cord correctly), and a simple binder clip makes a dandy headphone wrapper for the traveling music junkie.

How To Convert Pirated Windows 7 Into A Geniune Copy

A year back, a history was created in the segment of the Technology world; Windows 7 was released worldwide. No doubt that it was (and even it is) one of the best operating systems in the World with a competition with Apple’s Mac. Before the launch, its stunning graphics, cool features and the hard work Microsoft Team did even make the company itself; Microsoft to release a site to allow everyone to experience Windows 7 online without buying it and then the RT builds.
RemoveWat
With a sale of 240 million legal copies of Windows in a year, still more than 40% of the PC users still have the pirated Windows 7 or the RT builds installed in their Pcs, which surely would only not increase the risk of getting infected by Viruses, but would also not give them a right to enjoy Windows Updates and newly launched features. Updates and features are other case, but in the pirated cases Windows also starts showing a ‘Remove WGA’ message, which seriously sucks and could surely annoy big time anyone, while he is operating the PC.

If you are one of the users, you would know that how does it feels. Well, being honest I was once one too. Today here at Technoblgger, I am going to share about an application, just a small one, which can help you make your Windows 7 genuine easily without taking much time.
Making Windows genuine is easy could make your PC better, but remember it is illegal and

Microsoft could sue you for it, maybe with or without notice. We do not support piracy, being geeks I used this software to just extend my trial period and see whether Windows 7 is crack (able) or not. TRY THIS ON YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY.

RemoveWat‘ is the name of the application, which is developed by Hazar and nononsence and could easily make Windows 7 genuine in just one click without any further process or something. It helps remove Windows Activation Technologies (also known as WAT files) from the Pcs to make the Windows genuine by which you can validate the Windows. It’s totally free, virus free and works like a charm.

Top 30 Apps For Symbian Smart Phones

1. Swype

Sworn by lots of people and sworn at by lots of others, Swype is very much an acquired taste - it's a complete keyboard replacement for Symbian that works by looking at the way you trace your fingers around the various keys rather than just by taps alone. It's an intriguing and clever system though does mean a lot of finger exercise and isn't ideal for all. Still, free and worth a try, if only because it might be the single biggest upgrade you ever give your device!

Get it from the Nokia Store.

BSNL Launches 3 Budget Tablets in India

With tablet PCs gaining prominence around the world, it was just a matter of time before the state owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) jumped into the fray with a tablet offering of its own. To make up for being a bit late in the segment, it has three tablet devices to offer, all aimed at the low cost to the budget segment. They would have 7 or 8 inch sized display of either resistive or capacitive touchscreen. Not surprisingly, the OS for the tablets would be Android 2.3 and would be manufactured by the Noida based company Pantel.

Penta T PAD IS 701R: The lineup starts with the Panta Tpad tablet that is priced at Rs. 3,250. The Indian tablet market has until now been abuzz with the cheapest tablet Aakash that costs Rs. 2,500, though the Panta Tpad has a slightly higher specification in spite of being in the same segment.
The Panta Tpad is a Wi-fi only device with a 1 GHz ARM11 IMAP210 processor and an on-board RAM of 256 MB. The tablet comes with a 7 inch resistive display, having a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels, with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The tablet comes with an internal memory of 2 GB which is further expandable via a microSD card, while powering the device is a 3000 mAH battery. The tablet also has a 0.3 megapixel front facing VGA camera as well as an HDMI port.
Penta TPAD WS704C: The next in line is the Panta Tpad WS704C tablet, which is similar to the 701r model in specification with the additional features of it being 3G capable. It supports both CDMA/EVDO and GSM. It also has a GPS, accelerometer, and Bluetooth connectivity. The RAM is 512 MB in this case and the rear facing camera is of 2 megapixel resolution.
Penta TPAD WS802C: The Tpad WS802C is the top of the line model and comes at a price of Rs. 13,500. It offer 8 inch of screen real estate and is based on capacitive touchscreen technology. The tablet also is powered by a more powerful 1.2 GHz CPU and is aided by a 512 MB RAM. The device comes with an internal memory of 4 GB, while other features match that of the 704C model.
Data plans that BSNL is offering include 5 GB of 3G data usage for Rs. 750, and 7.5 GB 2G usage for INR 250 for the three tablets. All the tablets also carry a one year warranty.

India's Cheapest Tablet PC,Aakash Specifications And Review

All of us are very well aware of India's cheapest tablet PC launched. They named it Aakash. Indian govt. promised last year to invent a cheapest tablet PC, so that every student can get to know know what is a tablet and how it works. Now govt. kept their promise and Aakash is in market. Anyone can purchase it online by visiting it's official website www.aakashtablet.com just for Rs. 2500/-

Here i am presenting secifications and review of this tablet PC.

First of all lets start with hardware configuration of this tablet:

- 366 MHz processor with graphics accelerator and HD video processor.
- Memory: Internal: 2GB/ 256 MB RAM
                 External: 32 GB max. supported.
- Ports: USB 2.o/ 1 standard USB port.
- Audio: 3.5 mm audio jack(in/out)
- Display: 7 inch of display/touch screen diagonally, 800X480 pixel resolution.
- Connectivity: GPRS and WiFi.

Now lets see it from software point of view:

- Working on Google's Android OS (2.2 Froyo).
- Supported document formats: DOC, DOCX, PPTX, PPT, XLS, XLSX, ODT.
- PDF reader
- Image format supported: PNG, JPG, BMP and GIF.
- Audio and video formats: MP3, AAC, AC3, WAV, MPEG4, MPEG2, FLV, AVI.

That's all about specifications, now head towards it's review.

Student version of this tablet comes with loaded applications. Games, calleneder, organiser, advanced lessons on physics- though they used up just a quarter of the screen and were hard to read.

Screen is resistive and irresponsive, you need to press hard to get response.
Processor is week as it heats up very fast during multitasking, it could be problematic. One more weak point about the tablet is that you can't install anything from Android market(it seems worthless to me).

In short it will work like a rs.2500 thing only. Don't axpect speed and performance from it. In my opinion it is for the people who want to start. Only a fresher will use it, an expert can't take this poor performance.

The Top Ten Fastest Bikes In The World!!!!

We have often heard of some or the other having a fast bike. Maybe some of us even own fast bikes but not so fast as a bike reaching 250 plus kmph. My bike just touches 110 kmph and even at that speed it would be screaming its lungs out. But then in India, you don’t need that kind of speed to traverse. An average speed of about 80 kmph is what one needs to have for traveling around in India. However as the title suggest, this is not about India but some of the mean machines that money can buy in the world. So, here is a list of the top ten fastest bikes in the world. By fast, we mean bikes crossing more than 260 kmph.
On the number 10 spot is not a liter class bike but a 750 cc bike, the Suzuki GSX-R750. In 1985, this was the first bike which started the trend of sports bikes and later on super bikes. The 4 cylinder 3/4th liter motor develops 148 Bhp of surging power. This power combined with its light weight chassis ensures that the Gixxer reaches its top speed of 268 kmph really fast.

Top 10 Windows 7 Desktop Gadgets

1: All CPU Meter

The gadget I used to monitor my dual-core computer running Vista wasn’t available in a quad-core version, so I switched to All CPU Meter (Figure A). It supports up to eight cores (so I have room to grow). All CPU Meter isn’t as complex as some, but the simplicity works in its favor. It monitors your memory usage as well as CPUs, and it packs a lot of information into a small space. I also like that you can change the background color to match your preferences.

Figure A

All CPU Meter really does monitor all of your CPU cores — up to eight of them.

2: Windows Orb Clock

During all the time I used Vista and the first year I used Windows 7, my analog clock gadget of choice was the electric blue version of the one that comes with the operating system. But now I’ve switched to a much cooler model: the Vista Orb Clock (Figure B). Of course, the same orb is also on the Windows 7 Start menu. I love its clean look and the nice symmetry of having it just across from my Start Menu orb (since I have my Taskbar set to the vertical position.

Figure B

After years with the electric blue clock gadget, I’ve replaced it with the Windows Orb.

How To Increase Website Traffic?????????

It's easy to build a blog, but hard to build a successful blog with significant traffic. Over the years, we've grown the Moz blog to nearly a million visits each month and helped lots of other blogs, too. I launched a personal blog late last year and was amazed to see how quickly it gained thousands of visits to each post. There's an art to increasing a blog's traffic, and given that we seem to have stumbled on some of that knowledge, I felt it compulsory to give back by sharing what we've observed.
NOTE: This post replaces a popular one I wrote on the same topic in 2007. This post is intended to be useful to all forms of bloggers - independent folks, those seeking to monetize, and marketing professionals working an in-house blog from tiny startups to huge companies. Not all of the tactics will work for everyone, but at least some of these should be applicable and useful.
