India's Cheapest Tablet PC,Aakash Specifications And Review

All of us are very well aware of India's cheapest tablet PC launched. They named it Aakash. Indian govt. promised last year to invent a cheapest tablet PC, so that every student can get to know know what is a tablet and how it works. Now govt. kept their promise and Aakash is in market. Anyone can purchase it online by visiting it's official website www.aakashtablet.com just for Rs. 2500/-

Here i am presenting secifications and review of this tablet PC.

First of all lets start with hardware configuration of this tablet:

- 366 MHz processor with graphics accelerator and HD video processor.
- Memory: Internal: 2GB/ 256 MB RAM
                 External: 32 GB max. supported.
- Ports: USB 2.o/ 1 standard USB port.
- Audio: 3.5 mm audio jack(in/out)
- Display: 7 inch of display/touch screen diagonally, 800X480 pixel resolution.
- Connectivity: GPRS and WiFi.

Now lets see it from software point of view:

- Working on Google's Android OS (2.2 Froyo).
- Supported document formats: DOC, DOCX, PPTX, PPT, XLS, XLSX, ODT.
- PDF reader
- Image format supported: PNG, JPG, BMP and GIF.
- Audio and video formats: MP3, AAC, AC3, WAV, MPEG4, MPEG2, FLV, AVI.

That's all about specifications, now head towards it's review.

Student version of this tablet comes with loaded applications. Games, calleneder, organiser, advanced lessons on physics- though they used up just a quarter of the screen and were hard to read.

Screen is resistive and irresponsive, you need to press hard to get response.
Processor is week as it heats up very fast during multitasking, it could be problematic. One more weak point about the tablet is that you can't install anything from Android market(it seems worthless to me).

In short it will work like a rs.2500 thing only. Don't axpect speed and performance from it. In my opinion it is for the people who want to start. Only a fresher will use it, an expert can't take this poor performance.
